Short cut to Business Intelligence

Intelligence (also called intellect) is a holistic term used to describe a strength of the mind that goes around many related abilities, such as the strength to reason, to plan, to solve problems, to think abstractly, to comprehend ideas, to use language, and to learn. There are several ways to define intelligence. In some cases, intelligence may include traits such as creativity, personality, character, knowledge, or wisdom.

Does it happen with you when you are in a group and you don’t have any knowledge about the topic they are discussing and you feel ashamed of yourself. In business scenario it is the most embarrassing moment when we have to be silent when others talk. You feel you are out of touch and you are less intelligent then the person in the group has the most information specially when someone important is around may it be your boss or someone you want to impress. What do you do at that time. Do you get a complex and accept that the other person is more intelligent than you or do you try and start building up your knowledge about things ?

It is a fact that not all people know all the things happening in this world.

So what is it that you need to know that you can stand firm in this business world. Is it difficult.

I’ll say NO not at all, In this blog I will tell you many ways of showing you intellectual power. No man on the face of this earth is without intelligence, its just how we use our brains, scientifically it is proved that every human have got a similar brain and it only depends on the person how to use it.

Some things about Human brains-

We know that people differ in the way they solve problems. We call this their intellectual, or cognitive, ability. We may differ from our friends not only in overall ability, sometimes referred to as IQ, or "smarts", but also in the pattern of our abilities. One person may be especially good at problems involving words, whereas another may be better at dealing with problems relating to real-world objects. Since the brain is the centre for all such activities, there must be some way in which brains differ slightly from one person to another.

For most of the history of brain research, until about 20 years ago, our information about the human brain was obtained primarily from post-mortem cases. This is information from people who have died, and whose brains are studied after being fixed in solutions to preserve them. But in the past few years, new ways of looking at the brain safely in living persons have become possible, so now we are better able to link the abilities of a particular person with his or her brain structure.

Our problem-solving abilities depend mainly on a part of the brain called the cerebrum. The cerebrum is divided into two parts called the left and right cerebral hemispheres. These hemispheres don't have exactly the same functions, and this difference in the way the two hemispheres work is called functional asymmetry.

Thinking time- what is it you are good at ? What can you do differently than others ? How can you stand out of the crowd ? how can you be brilliant ?

These are fancy words but I believe its easier said than done, everyone in the world wants to be special and be different but no one wants to think and implement their own thinking. There could be several reasons for that, some of them think that they don’t have time for self development, no self awareness, low self esteem, some people even blame it on culture- I think these are all excuses, the main reason is that they are Lazy, they wanted a short cut to become brilliant but they are so lazy that they don’t even want to implement the short cuts, they want ready made intelligence. Watch out for my next blog on How to.....
